Penny Knapp received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan.

Her work has been exhibited at a one person show at Burn's Gallery; a two-person show at the Healing Arts Gallery; She has also exhibited at the Sweet Boutique in Bay City, Michigan; Studio 23 All Area Show in Bay City; Arts in Autumn in Bay City; Michigan Invitational at the Saginaw Art Museum, Saginaw, Michigan; Alumni Art Exhibition at Saginaw Valley State University Gallery; and the BFA show at Saginaw State University. She received a First Place Award at the Bay City Art Fair in Bay City, Michigan and was honored as an Invited Artist at the Midland Summer Art Fair at the Midland Center for the Arts in Midland, Michigan.

She continues to upgrade her skills at workshops and conferences including the Michigan Mud Conference held in Detroit, Michigan and the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts held in Indianapolis, Indiana.
